The Situation As an ongoing business development initiative, a large cable company promotes its robust product menu to all new homeowners in a custom kit containing over 11 different items from several global vendors. Kits must be generic to minimize costs. All the items arrive at different times, creating logistics and timeline issues. Inventory of 50,000 kits needed to be warehoused until all items were received. The average turnaround time from request to fulfillment is over three weeks, resulting in lost customers.
The Challenge Create a customized kit with personalized internal and external collateral. Ensure that all items are able to be placed in the kit and delivered within 48 hours of the request. Do all of this for half the existing cost.
The Solution Palaimon created a customized kit which was produced on our variable data press. The kit was personalized by builder and by product offer. Ordering all the internal products for the kit was coordinated by Palaimon, who became the one-stop shop for this client. Kits could be ordered as needed, versus the previous warehousing issue which created additional cost and complexity.
The Result Our customer was able to provide their builder’s customers with a customized on-demand kit on time which resulted in same day orders versus up to three weeks later.
